Retroactive Credit

Students may qualify for retroactive credit in calculus courses by completing the second or third course in a sequence with a grade of C or higher.

Retroactive credit does not affect the GPA of the student, but does count towards the overall number of credits the student needs for graduation.

Retroactive credit is not automatically awarded to students. Instead, students can apply for it after they complete the second or third course in the sequence with a grade of C or higher.

To apply, email the associate chair of the department (assocchairmath@ku.edu) with the email title "application for retroactive credit in Math 115/125/126".  Complete and attach the department's Retroactive Credit form.

The University charges a fee of $50 for retroactive credit, regardless of how many credit hours you receive. This will be charged through your student account on Enroll & Pay.
