Zhipeng Liu's Paper Accepted for Publication in Elite Journal
LAWRENCE—Zhipeng Liu’s paper (with Jinho Baik, University of Michigan) Multi-point distribution of periodic TASEP was accepted for publication in the Journal of the American Mathematical Society. The peer-reviewed journal is devoted to research articles of the highest quality in all areas of pure and applied mathematics and is considered one of the most prestigious journals in mathematics.
Liu, assistant professor of mathematics, works in probability and mathematical physics. His research interests include KPZ universality, interacting particle systems, growth models, non-intersecting paths, orthogonal polynomials and related problems. He received his Ph.D. in 2014 from the University of Michigan and was a Courant instructor at New York University before coming to KU in 2017.
