Title: Additive Runge-Kutta Method with Finite Volume Discretization
Abstract: In the first part of this talk, an additive Runge-Kutta method is studied for the finite volume discretization of 1D convection-diffusion-reaction problems. The implicit time discretization is introduced to enlarge the time step length. However, due to the implicit time discretization, in each time step, one has to solve a linear/nonlinear system which can be time-consuming. In the second part of the talk, we focus on constructing preconditioners for solving the corresponding linear/nonlinear systems.
