Information for Prospective Students

The Department of Mathematics is in charge of all the mathematics education at the University of Kansas. At the undergraduate level we offer B.A. and B.S. in mathematics and at the graduate level we offer M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in both pure and applied math tracks.

We keep a very student-friendly atmosphere in our department and our staff is always willing to help the students. Our faculty is extremely committed to excellence in teaching and research. Our facilities are in Snow Hall, a renovated building that won a historic preservation award. Our students have ample access to computer labs and modern technology and we teach most of our classes in our beautiful building.

We invite you to take a virtual tour of our department by exploring the links in our site. Of course, we will be delighted if you visit us in person. We can arrange for prospective students visiting campus to meet with our faculty and tour our building.

We hope you will seriously consider coming to KU to continue your mathematics education.  When you are ready to apply, please go to our Graduate Applications and Admissions page.
