Lewis and Ngo Win University Awards

Peter Lewis, graduate student in mathematics, was awarded the Chancellor's GTA Award for the 2015-16 academic year. This recognition comes with a monetary award of $2,000. The award was presented at the 2016 Graduate Student Awards Ceremony on April 27. Lewis received the math department's Florence Black Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2015.

Cuong Ngo, graduate student in mathematics, received a 2016 Summer Research Fellowship from the Office of Graduate Studies. The award consists of a $5,000 stipend. Ngo received from the math department the 2013 Ralph Byers Student Award for outstanding student in numerical analysis.
