Careers for Mathematics Majors

A major in mathematics prepares you for a wide range of jobs and careers. To do research in mathematics or teach mathematical sciences at a university, you generally need a doctoral degree. But many people with Bachelors or Masters degrees work in research groups with engineers or scientists. Many software engineers or computer systems specialists entered the field with math degrees.
